 
1. 9-month After School Program from September to June four days a week Mon. Tues & Thurs from 2:15 to 4:30 PM and Wed 1:15 to 3:30 PM. 2. 4 week Summer School from mid-June to mid-July from 8 am to noon Mon - Friday. Selection of Students: Classroom teachers and principals select 2nd - 5th grades students who are academically at risk of failure. They are eligible to attend LEAP because their families speak limited or no English and therefore are unable to understand and help with reading skills or homework and cannot afford other academic intervention programs. Why is LEAP so special?LEAP brings together well-trained adult volunteers who tutor, mentor,
and inspire these at-risk students to learn English, improve their reading
skills, complete their homework and set goals for themselves. These adults are role models who have
proven over the years to provide much needed guidance to these children. Volunteers report that they have been
inspired by working with our Director and each other and feel significant
personal gratification as they help the children |
