LEAP's MISSION‎ > ‎

VOLUNTEER

Volunteer Opportunities

Sally Parkin, Executive Director, is a California credentialed teacher who specializes in reading strategies for struggling readers. She is the only permanent staff member. Our volunteers are crucial to the success of the programs.  Contact Mrs. Parkin at 714-832-6061 for further information.

Each adult volunteer is trained by the Director and can choose to serve in a variety of ways.  LEAP is flexible and vacations are encouraged.  Volunteers simply tell the Director the days and times they wish to serve.  Many volunteers serve one day a week.  Several serve every day.  Many are homemakers, retired professionals, credentialed teachers, retired school administrators, successful business men and women and community leaders. All our volunteers must demonstrate a love of children, patience, mastery of subject matter and ability to motivate and inspire children.
